Sunflowers For Ukraine Fundraiser

In an effort to raise funds and support the important work of the International Rescue Committee's emergency relief in Ukraine, we are raffling off a one of a kind work of art entitled "Sunflowers For Ukraine".

Throughout Ukraine's history, the sunflower has been a symbol for peace, but the awareness of the association between the two has grown exponentially since the first day of the invasion. On February 24, 2022 the news outlet Ukraine World shared a video on Twitter showing a Ukrainian woman in Henychesk giving sunflower seeds to Russian soldiers, with the striking instruction to put the seeds in their pockets so the flowers will grow where they die. This brave woman's story became the inspiration for the "Sunflowers For Ukraine" envelope collage. Each piece of the collage was cut by hand from 1 of 6 patterned security envelopes to create a one of a kind work of art. The artwork is approximately 5in x 10in, complete in a new, black frame (approximately 7in x 13in) ready to be displayed. Every $10 donation made will count as one entry for the raffle. A donation of $20 equals 2 entires, etc. The winner for the "Sunflowers for Ukraine" collage will be announced on Monday, March 14th at 7pm EST.
